By the time the recordings on this CD were made in the early 1960s, showman and orchestra leader Xavier Cugat had been entertaining worldwide audiences for over three decades with his Latin American dance music and had made hundreds of best-selling records. This twofer combines the "Cugat Plays Continental Hits" album with "Most Popular Movie Hits" and six remaining tracks have vocals by Mrs. Cugat, Abbe Lane. All tracks have been re-mastered and are in glorious stereo.
